Damper is a no-yeast Australian campfire bread that is easy to scale up and down.

Ingredients

4 cups self-raising flour

1 tablespoon butter, softened.

1 cup milk

Directions

Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease a baking sheet.

Mix all the ingredients together, adding a half cup of water and a teaspoon salt.

Knead the bread on a floured surface.

Put the bread into the oven for 25 minutes, then lower the temprature to 175°C for 5 to 10 minutes
